Collections Manager, Milissa Brooks-Ojibway, will showcase various objects from the Glensheen collection that have been hidden out-of-sight to visitors.
Milissa is responsible for the proper care and preservation of the objects in the mansion. Therefore, she sees all of the cool and interesting objects in Glensheen’s collection every day. More often than not, these are objects the public rarely has the opportunity to see. Milissa will give an in-depth history of each object and perhaps even why the Congdon family acquired the item. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and get up close to these rarely-seen objects. Guests will enter at the front door of the mansion. The event will take place in the Amusement Room. Mystic Lake's Rock and Rockets Fourth of July celebration returns this year with a spectacular fireworks display and live music by local stars Kat Perkins and Jesse Larson. The free, all-ages event will take place outside Mystic Lake beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4.
